Ardoch Man Arrested For Endangerment By Fire

The Grand Forks Police Department says a 25-year-old Ardoch man has been arrested for endangerment by fire, following a call to the Lithia Ford dealership on 32nd Avenue in Grand Forks on Wednesday.

The department says that, at 2:10 p.m Wednesday, fire and police crews were dispatched to Lithia Ford for a fire and water flow activation alarm.

Upon arrival on scene, a fire was discovered in one of the shop areas. The fire was extinguished by the fire suppression system. Further investigation determined an employee had purposely lit some gas on fire, which had spilled on the floor.

The ignition of the gas caused a significant flash, which caused minor injury to another employee, along with damage to a customer’s vehicle and the structure of the building.

25-year-old Jobe Lunski, of Ardoch, was arrested for endangerment by fire and was subsequently transported to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center. The employee, who sustained minor burns, was transported, by private vehicle, to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks.
