Male Arrested Following Incident in Grand Forks

A unknown male has been arrested following a Saturday evening incident at Wal Mart on 32nd Avenue in Grand Forks.

Shortly after 7 p.m. Saturday, Grand Forks Police officers were dispatched to Wal Mart on 32nd for a report of an unknown male, possibly loading a handgun in the entry way of the store.

When officers arrived on scene, they checked the store. The male subject was not located. When checking video surveillance, it was discovered that the male purchased a BB gun in Wal Mart, and checked the property when in the entryway of the store. He was observed leaving the store just as officers were arriving.

Officers were on scene, when the subject returned to the store. Officers recognized him and began interviewing him, when he became uncooperative and vulgar. He was arrested for disorderly conduct for his behavior, according to a news release from Grand Forks Police.

The male, who authorities are continuing to attempt to identify, was transported to the Grand Forks County Correctional Center.
