Racing on Hold at North Dakota Horse Park

Racing at the North Dakota Horse Park is on hold, for now.

That’s the word from North Dakota Race Commission Director Jack Schulz.

Schulz told WZFG News, late last night, that the dates of racing at the park are still being discussed by the North Dakota Race Commission.

A hearing will be scheduled on the issue, but, as of late Wednesday night, information on that hearing was not available from the North Dakota Attorney General’s office.

Schulz says that the process is ongoing – so he cannot comment on specifics as to what the future holds for the park. He says, on another note, live horse racing starts this Saturday at Chippewa Downs, west of Belcourt, and runs four consecutive weekends.
