As a result of the June 29 wind event and the high volume of branches being placed at the curb, residential curbside brush pick up will be delayed.
City and contract staff have been working extended days and other forestry-related duties have been temporarily suspended while the clean-up efforts continue.
Forestry staff is attempting to follow the recycling route but cannot keep up due to the high volume of over 800 stops per day. The City is working diligently and asks residents to be patient.
Property owners have the option all year to haul tree debris to the landfill on their own at no cost. The landfill is located at 4501 7th Ave N; hours are Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 7:15 a.m. to 1 p.m. (excluding holidays). Property owners also have the option to contact a commercial tree service to haul the tree debris at the resident’s cost.
