American Red Cross Opens Watford City Resource Center

An EF-2 tornado has ripped through the City of Watford City this week—and the American Red Cross has responded by opening a resource center. The Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will be open from 9:00 a.m.- 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 12. People who need help can go to the Watford City Civic Center to learn about recovery resources from the American Red Cross, and other non-profit, community and government partners. On Tuesday night, 60 individuals stayed in a shelter opened up in the city. Anyone in need of shelter is asked to go to the Watford City Civic Center. Red Cross disaster relief workers are providing water, food and snacks, as well as comfort items such as blankets, cots and comfort kits at the shelter. They are also distributing water and snacks to people who are cleaning up at the RV park.
