Fargo Police Called to Armed Robbery

 

A man was arrested Sunday night for robbery and refusal to halt.

According to the Fargo Police Department, at approximately 5:30 p.m., officers responded to a call of a robbery at gun point. The victim had driven to a gas station to call 9-1-1, while the suspect got in a car driven by another person. The scene drew a heavy police presence in the 700 block of 23rd Street South.

Officers responding to the call located the suspect vehicle and one suspect, who fled on foot. He was tracked to an apartment in South Fargo, with assistance of a K-9 unit from the West Fargo Police Department.

The suspect, identified as Kenyi Pitia, surrendered and was arrested for robbery and refusal to halt. Officers seized the firearm used in the robbery.  The driver of the getaway car has not been located.
