Fargo Library Hosts Kids' Concert Events Next Week

The Fargo Public Library is rocking next week with three concerts for kids and families as part of the summer reading program. Join us Monday, July 23, at 11 a.m. at the downtown Main Library for a performance by the award-winning songsters Jack and Kitty. This duo features jug band folk music to get everybody up and dancing.

Next, join us Thursday, July 26, starting at 11 a.m. at the Dr. James Carlson Library for a performance by Rockin’ Red. Kids of all ages will enjoy Rockin’ Red’s show filled with energy and a variety of music styles.

Finally, the library wraps up the summer reading program with Library-Palooza! featuring live music and activities at Island Park (302 7th St. S.), starting at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 27. Bluegrass band Pat Lenertz and the Belmonts will perform at the gazebo at 11 a.m. In addition, US Navy sailors will be on hand with STEM activities from 1 to 3:30 p.m. as well as other library-themed lawn activities, including a story walk, games, and crafts throughout the park. Stop by for a jammin’ good time and have some fun in the sun as we celebrate all things library. This event is open to children of all ages and no pre-registration is required to attend.

Suitable for all ages, these concerts and events are free and open to the public; adults must accompany children ages 9 and younger.
