(Washington, DC) — President Biden has spoken with Donald Trump following a reported assassination attempt at Trump’s campaign rally.
Trump was speaking in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon when shots rang out and he was rushed off stage by Secret Service. Trump’s campaign says a bullet grazed his ear but he’s been evaluated by doctors and is okay. The White House reports President Biden spoke with Trump over the phone that evening. Biden also spoke with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro and Butler Mayor Bob Dandoy.
The President is cutting his weekend in Delaware short to return to Washington, D.C. immediately.
