(FARGO, ND) – Bond has been set for a former Cass County deputy charged with seven Class C felonies for possession of certain materials prohibited.
Carson Quam appeared in Cass County District Court Tuesday morning for an arraignment hearing in front of Judge John Irby.
Irby set bond at $5,000 with ten percent paid in cash and the balance on personal recognizance with conditions.
In November, Cass County Sheriff Jesse Jahner announced that he was contacted by the North Dakota Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI) regarding a Sheriff’s Office employee in September. The BCI told Sheriff Jahner that they were initiating an investigation into Quam for alleged criminal activity. At the time of BCI’s notification, the Sheriff’s Office was unaware of any criminal activity Quam was potentially involved with.
Quam will return to court on January 22 for a preliminary hearing.
