OTTER TAIL COUNTY, Minn. – A three-year-old boy is dead and his grandmother is taken to the hospital after a dog attack near New York Mills.
The Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office says a 911 call came in around 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 11 from the 51-year-old woman who was driving the boy to a Perham hospital.
Authorities say the three-year-old climbed into an outdoor area where a bulldog was being kept. The dog bit the boy and the woman got significant injuries trying to get it off him.
The boy died at the hospital and the woman was taken to a Fargo hospital.
The Sheriff’s Office says the dog has been euthanized.
