Clay County Commission approves change in hours at Public Health Clinic

MOORHEAD, MINN. – Clay County Commissioners have approved a recommendation that will scale back hours for the Clay County Public Health Clinic.

Clay County Public Health Director Jessica Mickelson explains the reason for the scaling back.

“The clinic usage has not rebounded since the pandemic,” she said.

Commissioners approved a motion that the clinic be open two days a week beginning on March 2 – which would meet current needs.

Mickelson says the new hours would be monitored for potential changes.

“We realize that this could ebb and flow, so this isn’t a stamped thing that would go on forever,” she said.
