BRAINERD, MINN. – Crow Wing County officials are clarifying information after community members have reported Immigration and Customs Enforcement activity in the Brainerd area.
At 11 a.m. Monday, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s deputies were asked to assist Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) with two federal arrest warrants in downtown Brainerd. Deputies provided the assistance as requested, leading to four people being taken into custody.
The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office says they do not have information regarding when or where HSI may be conducting operations, saying those activities are managed independently by the Department of Homeland Security.
