COLD SPRING, MINN. — Minnesota Republican candidate for Governor Lisa Demuth is calling on Tim Walz to release fraud records from the Department of Human Services.
In a statement this morning, Demuth said Walz’s Department of Human Services is ‘deliberately hiding records on fraudulent providers.’
“This is absolutely unacceptable. Minnesotans deserve to know what the administration is doing to safeguard the dollars meant to help people in need,” she said. “When I’m governor, I will aggressively root out fraud within the agencies, and hold those who enable it accountable. I will order the release of these records on day one. Until then, it’s time for Tim Walz to stop hiding behind tired excuses and trying to take credit for the work of federal prosecutors. Release the records.”
