SHAKOPEE, MINN – House Speaker Lisa Demuth won a straw poll in Scott County by a wide margin Thursday.
The poll was conducted in the second-largest delegate bloc in the state less than three weeks before February’s precinct caucuses.
Demuth earned 72 votes, ahead of second-place Chris Madel (56 votes). Kendall Qualls, Mike Lindell and Scott Jensen rounded out the top five.
