Despite elected officials opting out of NDGOP Convention, Chairman says work must go on

BISMARCK, N.D. – While North Dakota Republican Party Chairman Matthew Simon says some elected officials have chosen to not attend this year’s Republican Party convention, the work must go on.

“We’ll continue to work to protect the integrity of the convention process,” he said.  “So that our elected officials, both here in North Dakota and in Washington, are elected by informed voters.”

This year’s NDGOP convention kicks off March 28 in Minot. Simon said Wednesday that roughly 1,000 delegates will attend this year’s convention.
