U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS (VALLEY NEWS LIVE) – Multiple sources say a woman from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota died in a shark attack on Thursday in the United States Virgin Islands.
Virgin Islands Police say 56-year-old Arlene Lillis was snorkeling at Dorsch Beach when a shark tore off her arm and she later died.
“Our hearts are with the family and loved ones of the victim and with everyone who witnessed this tragedy,” U.S. Virgin Islands Governor Albert Bryan, Junior said.
