Ellison to continue running for reelection, despite considering a run for Governor

ST PAUL, MINN. – Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison affirms his decision to run for reelection for Attorney General.

“Minnesota is in an unprecedented moment,” he said. “The President of the United States is tearing apart families and terrorizing our communities. Defending our state as Attorney General is the most important thing I have done in my career.”

Ellison said he’s been asked if he’d consider running for Governor after Tim Walz announced he’s not running for reelection.

“I have,” he said. “But as the federal government declares war on Minnesota, it is clear to me that I am best equipped to defend Minnesotans from the Office of the Attorney General. In October, I announced my campaign for a third term as Attorney General, and I intend to stay in this race.”
