Energy Committee advances former N.D. Water Resources Director’s nomination

(WASHINGTON, DC) – Former North Dakota Director of Water Resources, Andrea Travnicek, is one step closer to landing a position under her former boss, Secretary of the Interior Doug Burgum.

Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the Senate’s Energy and Natural Resources Committee, announced that Travnicek’s nomination to serve as Assistant Secretary for Water and Science at the Department of the Interior had been approved by the committee.

The full U.S. Senate will now vote on the nomination.

As of late Thursday night, no further action has been scheduled.
