BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota State Patrol officials say no bomb was found at the state capitol after a threat was called in Sunday.
The Patrol says the threat was called into Bismarck Central Dispatch at just before 10 o’clock Sunday night saying a bomb had been placed in the capitol building. Troopers, Bismarck Police and the Bismarck Fire Department responded.
The Patrol says there was no detonation, and no bomb was found, and the bomb squad determined the building was safe. In addition, security footage was obtained and reviewed, with no threat observed on camera footage.
A perimeter was set up around the capitol building by law enforcement on scene.
The Bismarck Fire Department deployed a drone to view the immediate area surrounding the Capitol grounds.
The State Patrol says the investigation is ongoing and no further information is available.
