Fargo man sentenced in 2020 drive-by shooting

(FARGO) – A Fargo man charged with being an accomplice in a 2020 drive-by shooting has been sentenced to more than 20 years in prison.

Joshua Brooks, who initially pled not guilty in November 2022, changed his plea to guilty in July 2024.

On Monday, in Cass County District Court, Brooks was sentenced to 23 years and six months in prison, with credit for 686 days served. Upon completion of his sentence, Brooks is ordered to serve five years on probation.
