Fargo, N.D. – A Fargo man who was found with more than a thousand images and videos of kids engaging in sexual conduct was sentenced to 32 years in federal prison.
Prosecutors say 37-year old Dustin Ray Fredrickson came to the attention of authorities through the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
The law enforcement task force received a tip that Fredrickson had a Snapchat account with pictures of naked children.
During a search at his home, Fredrickson’s cell phone was seized and searched.
The device had almost 400 videos and close to 800 photos of kids engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Frederickson, who was convicted three times in the past for having sexual contact with minors, was also ordered to pay $18,000 in restitution to victims who were identified in the pictures and footage.
The Fargo Police Department, Homeland Security Investigations and North Dakota Bureau of Investigation worked together on the case.
