Fargo School Board to consider selection of firm for superintendent search process

(FARGO, ND) – The Fargo School Board will chart its path forward Tuesday when it selects a firm to assist the board in the search for its next leader.

Superintendent Dr. Rupak Gandhi announced earlier this fall that he would be stepping down as Superintendent of Fargo Public Schools at the end of the current academic term. Gandhi has served as the Fargo Public Schools superintendent of schools since July 2018.

On Tuesday, the board will select the firm it will move forward with in the search. Seven total firms submitted proposals.

An ad-hoc committee reviewed all seven proposals and reached consensus to recommend to the Board to negotiate and enter into an agreement with Ray & Associates to assist in the superintendent search process. The committee recommends working with the firm to have the search process be finalized prior to the Fargo Public Schools’ spring break, which is scheduled for March 17-21, 2025.

The board will consider the recommendation at its meeting Tuesday night.
