FARGO, N.D. – In an effort to protect Fargo streets during the spring thaw, load restrictions are set to go into effect Wednesday.
Beginning at 12:01 a.m., Class A and Class 1 load restrictions will be placed on various roads throughout town.
Class A restrictions are defined as 18,000 pounds for a single axle; 32,000 pounds for a tandem axle; 42,000 pounds for three axles or more; or a vehicle with a gross weight of 80,000 pounds.
Class 1 restrictions are defined as 15,000 pounds for a single axle; 30,000 pounds for a tandem axle; 36,000 pounds for three or more axles; or a vehicle with a gross weight of 80,000 pounds.
