FARGO, ND) — Downtown Fargo will have a vehicle barrier system.
Officials with the Downtown Community Partnership requested the security bollards to protect pedestrians during large public gatherings. Executive Director Rocky Schneider said it’s crucial to have safety measures for downtown event corridors to prevent possible vehicle attacks, like the New Orleans incident on New Year’s Day.
The steel barrier system will have a removable feature and is being added to Second Avenue North.
