(FARGO) – A former volunteer with the Fargo Park District has been suspended by a national organization.
Jason Schoenack was a volunteer coordinator of the Fargo Park District’s fencing program.
According to information available from USA Fencing, Schoenack was suspended for a period of five years for violation of the SafeSport Code. The suspension was in effect on August 19.
Fargo Park District Executive Director Susan Faus says that the park district was notified of an investigation into Schoenack by USA Fencing SafeSport. At that time, the volunteer was immediately terminated and the program suspended.
“There are no plans to bring the program back,” Faus said in a statement.
