Grand Forks motorcyclist seriously injured after state patrol says he was traveling 97 mph

GRAND FORKS, ND — A crash that critically injured a 29-year old Grand Forks motorcyclist being pursued by police for speeding is under investigation.

The State Patrol says a trooper tried to stop the biker after he was clocked going 97 miles an hour on U.S. Highway 2 near Emerado late Monday night. When the trooper turned on his emergency lights the bike hit the median, ejecting the driver who was seriously hurt.
