(FARGO, ND) – The Fargo Police Department is recognizing three of their members who were recently promoted.
The department held a Monday afternoon ceremony at Fargo City Hall for Captain Troy Hannig, Lieutenant Christie Jacobson and Sergeant Tim Falconnier.
“Today we gather to recognize the talents, commitment, character and confidence of these three individuals,” said Fargo Police Chief David Zibolski. “They each bring with them their own artful leadership approach in a multitude of ways that is greatly appreciated and valued.”
Zibolski says Falconnier is credited with recommending the purchase and equipping of life preservers in police vehicles.
Jacobson was noted for her previous supervision of the department’s community engagement team, and in 2021, helping to establish the Police Advisory and Oversight Board.
Zibolski also recalled Hannig, who attended the department’s Leaderships and Police Organizations course in 2022, putting together a presentation that addressed night staffing issues.
“They have internalized our department’s vision, mission and values,” said Zibolski. “Within each of their roles [they] have intentionally worked to lead, guide and develop not just themselves but others as well.”
The Fargo Police Department is the largest municipal law enforcement agency in North Dakota.
