‘Islam & Christianity cannot coexist’ Fargo School Board candidate Geske says board needs to address Islam

LISTEN: Flag Family News Reporter Austin Erickson’s interview of Fargo School Board candidate Carissa Geske

FARGO, N.D. – During a Fargo School Board candidate forum on WDAY Radio and The Flag, business owner Carissa Geske talked about a moral law children should be taught adding Islam is something that needs to be addressed.

In an interview with Flag Family News afterwards, she elaborated saying the religion is something the school board needs to consider.

“In the west, we have benefitted from what our founding principals were on which is based on this idea.. So, the Nuremberg Trials displayed this thing of when a country goes wayward, what do we do if there is something pure evil going on?” Geske said.

When asked by reporter Austin Erickson if she believes Islam is pure evil, Geske said the Nuremberg Trials showed there’s a moral law that we need to recognize that supersedes the laws of the land.

“We have to ask the question, which I haven’t heard asked, is what is that moral code coming from? Islam and Christianity cannot coexist. We are founded on arguably Christian principals, but Christianity doesn’t use coercion to force people,” Geske explained.

Geske added the west needs to be careful about what’s going on in the United Kingdom and the School Board isn’t talking about it. She went on to say Muslim leaders claim you submit or don’t and followers will be penalized, kicked out or killed.

“I would ask Muslim parents what are you teaching your children because you may be a professing Muslim, but you actually might be saying do not lie, do not murder, do not steal, do not covet. Then are they really operating out of a Muslim world view or not? That is something we need to address,” Geske said.

Flag Family News reached out to the Islamic Society of Fargo-Moorhead for reaction on Geske’s comments, but we didn’t immediately hear back.
