(Bismarck, ND) -- North Dakota lawmakers are considering an increase in the interstate speed limit. The House Transportation Committee endorsed the bill yesterday that would raise the speed limit from 75 miles per hour to 80 miles per hour on the state's two interstates. The bill would also establish a minimum interstate speed of 40 miles per hour. A similar bill was defeated in the House in 2019.
