(West Fargo, ND) -- After hosting a one-week Play-Doh drive, Independence Elementary School donated nearly 5,000 cans of Play-Doh to Sanford Children’s Hospital last week.
The drive, which was hosted by students during the last week of April, aimed to collect as many cans as a similar event the school hosted in 2019. The Independence community surpassed that goal by donating 4,826 cans of Play-Doh compared to the 2,649 that were donated in 2019.
Students counted, sorted, and packed the cans and school staff delivered them to the hospital on Friday, May 7th.
