(Argusville, ND) -- The Cass County Sheriff’s Office is advising the public of a potential public safety concern around Argusville involving a not so furry friend.
Friday night around 6:30 PM, a resident of Argusville informed authorities that they believe they saw a black bear within the city limits of Argusville; but there was no confirmation if the potential sighting was in fact a bear.
The Sheriff’s Office is reminding the public that anytime you encounter a wild animal, it is important to keep your distance, secure family and pets and notify authorities.
The Cass County Sheriff’s Office says it will work closely with the North Dakota Game and Fish Department to ensure an appropriate response is taken for the safety of the community.
