Minor injuries, house destroyed in Polk County fire

(Trail, MN) -- A man and child suffered minor injuries after a house fire in Trail Sunday afternoon.

The Polk County Sheriff's Office says at a little after noon authorities responded to 302 Birch Street for reports of a fire. When they arrived, they found a fully involved blaze at the home.

The home's owner, Jonathan Wilson, and the juvenile were able to escape the flames. The fire was caused by a 20-pound propane tank that was brought into the house to thaw out.

The house has been determine to be a complete loss.
