(Sidney, MT) -- Grand Forks assistant state's attorney Carmell Mattison is holding out hope that her missing daughter will be found alive.

Katelynn Berry was reported missing from her apartment in Sidney, Montana on New Year's Eve. She was last seen on December 21st when her father brought her lunch at her apartment on his land.

Her father says the 26-year-old failed to answer calls and texts over the next ten days, causing concern for the family. Berry left behind her cell phone and winter coats, something Mattison says she would never do.

Mattison refuses to speculate if foul play is suspected, but multiple agencies are involved in what they are calling a suspicious and criminal investigation.
