Update: Suspect in custody from incident in Halstad

(Halstad, MN) -- A suspect is in custody after a reported shooting turned domestic incident in Halstad, about 45 miles north of Moorhead.

The altercation happened Wednesday afternoon at an apartment complex in the 200 block of Second Avenue West. A shelter in place order was issued while authorities worked to detain suspect Jeremy Koste. Witnesses say a victim was taken by life flight from the scene to Sanford in Fargo.

The Norman County Sheriff's Office says Koste was found with no guns on him, and that the incident was a domestic dispute. Koste faces 1st degree burglary, 2nd degree assault and 5th degree assault.
