(Fargo, ND) -- The Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley is celebrating their 50th Anniversary.
"My biggest takeaway is how our kids feel like they can be themselves in our programming," said Robin Nelson, the agency's CEO.
Nelson says the agency works to provide support and encouragement to children of all backgrounds. The agency's mission is "to provide a safe, caring, and fun environment for youth to learn, grow, and prepare for a great future". The organization has a number of events this week to celebrate 50 years of service.
The Boys and Girls Club of the Red River Valley was originally called the Fargo Youth Commission when the doors first opened in 1972.
