(Fargo, ND) -- The Fargo community is remembering a local racer.

Authorities say 27-year-old Casey Arneson died in a UTV crash in Becker County on Friday. Officials say Arneson and a passenger were riding on Rock Lake Road near Detroit Lakes when the vehicle left the road, struck a tree, and rolled over. The passenger suffered non-life threatening injuries.

"You took the checkers too early in life," said a family member on social media in an announcement for services for the local race car driver the community dubbed 'Deuce' due to the number on his car. "What us family would do to see your light one more time, squeeze you one last time, bang out one more dent, shoot one more pheasant and catch one more fish."

Arneson's family said on social media that a celebration of his life will be held 11 a.m. Thursday at Hope Lutheran Church's south campus. All are aloud to attend in 'whatever you would wear to the race track'. There will also be a reception at Arneson's Race Shop afterward, which is located at 15 14th Street South in Fargo.
