(Fargo, ND) -- A new, fast growing supply chain software platform company is set to make Fargo its new home.

Cota has leased the third floor of the Exchange Building for a development office in Downtown Fargo. Initially, the location will house its mobile app and business development teams for Cota Freight. Company leaders plan to move all cloud development and business intelligence operations from California within the next few months.

"We're excited about the business ecosystem and support we've found in North Dakota," said Founder and CEO Jeremy Vrchota in a released statement to WDAY Radio. "We searched around the country for the best spot to grow a talented team laser-focused on supply chain headaches and landed in Fargo because of a great business climate, attractive office space, community support from the EDC, and talent available for some very specific careers."

Cota currently has users on three continents utilizing the platform to reduce their carbon footprint and speed the delivery of goods by using Cota-powered carriers.

“When we first met Jeremy earlier this year and learned about Cota’s approach to addressing industry freight and logistics pain points, we were thoroughly impressed with their solution.” said Ryan Aasheim, Chief Business Development Officer, GFMEDC. “From there, we got to work connecting Cota with capital resources, talent providers, collaborators, and options for office space to help them make effective decisions about locating in the Fargo-Moorhead metro.

Cota joins a growing list of software and technology companies that have been founded in the region or have decided to expand and grow their operations to Fargo Moorhead from other parts of the country.
