(Fargo, ND) -- The search continues for a suspect wanted for making threats and several warrants in South Fargo.

The Fargo Police Department tells WDAY Radio that at 4:58 p.m. Sunday officers responded to a report of threatening actions made via a telephone call related to a domestic dispute between two parties known to each another in the 2800 block of 23rd Avenue South.

The male individual, identified as 28-year-old Richard Bobby Yelegon, was threatening his ex-girlfriend with breaking into her residence to steal her property and inflict bodily harm.

Unbeknownst to Yelegon, the female was not in the area at the time and was not in immediate danger. However, Yelegon had several warrants out for his arrest, including domestic violence and FPD Officers worked to locate him.

Officers located Yelegon and engaged in a foot pursuit. He subsequently fled in a 2009 BMW X5 with no license plates. Officers continued to follow the vehicle.

Yelegon ultimately exited the vehicle and began running on foot at 47th Avenue South and 36th Street South. A perimeter was established and K9 Thor was utilized to track Yelegon’s movements. The BMW was impounded.

FPD says that the responding officers have not been unable to locate Yelegon and the perimeter has been cleared.

The department is continuing to look for Yelegon, who is a 5’5” Black male last seen wearing a dark hoodie with The Rolling Stones logo on it.

Anyone with information is asked to contact The Fargo Police by calling 9-1-1.
