(Fargo, ND) -- A man who was arrested on an outstanding warrant in Clay County Sunday now faces another felony charge after the Red River Valley Bomb Squad was called to Cass County Jail.

The Cass County Sheriff's Office tells WDAY Radio 66-year-old Leonard Budrea Jr. was taken into custody around 3 p.m. on the warrant, when a suspicious device was found inside his backpack. That led to a Fargo Police K9 and the bomb squad getting called to the jail. The K9 confirmed for law enforcement that the device was in fact a bomb.

Shortly after the bomb squad arrived, the device was disabled and destroyed.

Budrea now faces a felony charge of possession of an explosive. There were no injuries during the entirety of the arrest and diffusion of the device.

Budrea remains at the Cass County Jail.
