(West Fargo, ND) -- The Chezy Winter Classic Soccer Tournament is set to begin the second of two weekends for this annual tournament, welcoming visiting teams from throughout the Upper Midwest.

The revamped tournament successfully hosted a girls tournament the weekend of December 2-4 and this weekend welcomes a boys tournament, February 3-5. Previously both the girls and boys tournaments were combined.

This weekend Tri-City will welcome 57 teams from throughout the Upper Midwest, including: Bismarck; Hastings (Minnesota); Grand Forks, Aberdeen, Watertown (South Dakota) and Jamestown.

“We are proud to be Fargo-Moorhead-West Fargo’s soccer community–with 3,000 families and 4,000 players...and growing," said Executive Director of Tri-City United Lee Schwartz. "We’re also proud to invite and bring over 200 visiting teams here each year. We also use local vendors whenever possible and buy local whenever possible. Tri-City United is committed to our mission to support."

In 2022, the Fargo-Moorhead Conventions & Visitors Bureau estimated Tri-City United’s local economic impact from these tournaments at $4,000,000 per year.
