(Fargo, ND) -- The new executive director for Cass County Jail Chaplains is talking about one of his priorities.

"When I think about where this is going there is a need in our local community to improve, you know the ministry related to women. So specifically to increase the amount of chaplaincy work that's done with women," said Mike Little.

Little will be taking over for Gerri Leach, who is retiring. Little will officially assume his new role March 13th. Little is currently wrapping tenures serving as the Executive Director for both the Optometric Foundation of North Dakota and the North Dakota Dental Foundation.

Little is also placing an emphasis on another area of ministry.

"When we think about the idea of discipleship and the potential for one on one discipleship, there is an initiative to, "Between the Glass", so getting volunteers to meet with individuals who are in the jail and talking with them, between the glass, sort of that one on one structure. So I think there is a potential for those things," said Little.
