Prairie St. John’s names Hegland new Chief Executive Officer

(Fargo, ND) -- Prairie St. John’s has announced former Sanford Health Executive Ty Hegland has been selected to become the new Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director of the Mental Health Clinic.

In this role, Hegland is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Prairie St. John’s while leading strategic initiatives to ensure positive patient outcomes through clinical, operational, and financial leadership. He succeeds Jeff Herman, who served as CEO for over seven years and was recently promoted to Group Director for parent company Universal Health Services.

Hegland joins Prairie St. John’s from Sharehouse, where he served as President and CEO for over five years.

He earned his Master’s of Business Administration, Healthcare Administration from the University of Mary. Hegland also earned a Graduate Certificate in Consulting from Harvard University and has his Bachelors’ degree in Psychology from North Dakota State University.

Hegland's appointment begins effective Monday.
