(Mapleton, ND) -- The names of the drivers involved in a fatal two-vehicle crash have been released.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol (NDHP) says Randall Buxton, a 72-year-old male from New Westminster, British Columbia, was the driver who died in the vehicle fire following the crash on I-94 yesterday. They also say Yuhai Zhu, the driver of the tanker truck involved in the crash, has been arrested for negligent homicide. Authorities who were on the scene say Zhu stopped the tanker truck in the right westbound lane and was rear-ended by Buxton, leading to the fatal crash.

The NDHP announced the arrest the day after the fatal vehicle crash and fire that closed westbound I-94 for close to eight hours. The crash also led to the spill of approximately 6,500 gallons of ethylene glycol, an antifreeze that authorities say is no immediate hazard to the motoring public.
