Crews respond to West Fargo mobile home fire

(West Fargo, ND) -- No injuries have been reported after a mobile home caught fire in West Fargo late Friday afternoon.

The West Fargo Fire Department tells WDAY Radio that at approximately 4 p.m. crews were dispatched to 1003 Brookwood Lane for a structure fire. When they arrived on scene, there was a small, structure fire with heavy black smoke coming from the roof of a mobile home. Crews quickly knocked down and contained the active fire within minutes of arrival. 

The property sustained significant smoke damage and minimal fire damage. The cause of the fire is under investigation with the cost of damages yet to be determined.

The West Fargo Fire Department removed eight dogs, with seven surviving the fire. One resident, and seven dogs, will be displaced.

West Fargo Fire was assisted by the West Fargo Police Department, Sanford Ambulance, Salvation Army and the Red Cross during the incident.
