United flight from Fargo emergency lands in South Dakota

(Fargo, ND) -- A flight that took off just before 5 p.m. Wednesday from Hector International Airport here in Fargo reportedly had to make an emergency landing in South Dakota not too long after take off.

United Airlines now confirms to WDAY Radio that the Flight, that was en route to Denver, landed around 6:15 p.m. in Pierre due to engine failure.

Around 48 passengers were held up in Pierre for about four hours until a replacement plane arrived from Denver around 10 p.m.

No injuries or other issues were reported.

United does say all passengers and their luggage was taken care of after the incident.
