FARGO - Fargo Firefighters battled a townhome fire Tuesday night. No one was hurt, but a dog died.

The fire, at 2704 27th St. S., was reported by the resident when she got home around 9:30 p.m. and found smoke inside. Crews managed to put the fire out within minutes but the townhome received extensive smoke damage, displacing the resident.  Firefighters remained on scene overnight to make sure the fire didn't rekindle and affect other townhomes. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
