(Fargo, ND) -- A main causeway between Fargo and Moorhead has been closed thanks to rising flood waters.
The City of Fargo confirms to WDAY Radio that the 12th/15th avenue bridge on the city's north side has been closed.
This comes as rain continues to move through the area Wednesday morning, causing water levels in the Red River to continue to rise.
The bridge was planned to close this week due to flooding season already, so while the move is not necessarily a surprise, it did happen a bit quicker than expected.
No word on when the bridge will reopen.
