(McIntosh, MN) -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information on a reported burglary in rural McIntosh.
Deputies tell WDAY Radio the incident happened Tuesday after an unknown person or persons attempted to break into a home in the town, then forcefully entered an outbuilding while the homeowners were at a funeral.
Officials do say taking proper steps to secure your property, including locking all doors, asking a neighbor to watch your home and installing security cameras can help deter burglars. They also say you can request an extra patrol for deputies to check on your property when time allows.
