(West Fargo, ND) -- The West Fargo Fire Department says they regret to announce the death of a past leader of the department.
Fire Chief Dan Fuller says Richard Rausch passed away on April 14th, 2023. Rausch joined the department in 1964 and continued to serve until 1992. He transitioned to serve as the Assistant Chief between 1968 and 1970, and served as the last Volunteer Chief in 1971. Rausch was 89 years old.
The first visitation is scheduled for April 21st, 2023 between 5:00 and 7:00 p.m at Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center, and the second is starting on April 22nd, 2023 between 9:00 a.m and 10:00 a.m for Boulger Funeral Home and Celebration of Life Center. The funeral is scheduled for April 22, 2023 at 10:00 a.m, also at the Boulger Funderal Home.
