(Steele, ND) --  A semi-driver has minor injuries following a rollover crash outside of Steele.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the accident happened about one mile west of Steele as the vehicle was beginning to join the exit. Deputies say the semi driver, 34-year-old Pedro Gwyn-Martinez from District Heights, Maryland, lost control of his vehicle on the snow covered road and it began to jack-knife. Gwyn-Martinez attempted to correct course, but the vehicle overturned once it entered the south ditch. The vehicle eventually came to rest on the right lane and partially extending into the left lane of I-94.

The semi and its van trailer are still on the road as of this publication, but work is expected to remove the vehicle from the roadway at approximately 6 p.m. Gwyn-Martinez is currently in Sanford Hospital in Bismarck for minor injuries.

The crash is still under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
